Two rural scenes from eastern Colorado.

I took off yesterday around noon to look for a couple of shots out east. I wanted to switch it up a little and had seen a few potential targets while driving around for work.

Sunrise this morning north of Kit Carson, CO. I saw this old house and lone tree out in a hay field a while ago while working and wanted to take a crack at it. One shot on usual Nikon D300. 14-24 2.8, Cokin Xpro ND grad filter.

Looking south east at sunset on a barn/windmill/corral scene I scouted earlier in the day. NW of Arriba, CO. 5 vertical shots stitched in Arcsoft Pano Maker. D300, 24-70 2.8, Cokin Xpro ND grad.

Ah yes ... I discovered that I like eastern Colorado much more than I thought I would while on CO70 between Limon and Brush. Good stuff, Josh.

I like the first shot better, but I think it could be even better as a pano.

Jake, I saw the lone house at tree while out east for work. Programming radios takes you strange places. ;) I liked the simplicity of the scene and decided I should give it a whirl some weekend.
