I think the Holland Center will be one of my favorite buildings DT. I would like to see more develoment around it complimenting the modern north side of the Mall.

I really like how the northern end of the mall is emerging as the modern side and the south side is the historic side. Funny thing is, the buildings in the middle are plain and boxy newer buildings lol.

Cool thanks for the update. Soma looks good with that first street poured now too, I hadn't seen that yet. The Tip Top is about done. It will be nice to see the outer cladding going onto the fed building too. Last but not least, the Holland is starting to shine. Its good to see more great additions to DT.

I take it you didn’t get swetted by any authority figures while you where out walking around downtown taking pictures.

I take a lot of pictures with my MM5600 but I am just too lazy to post them. :|

does anyone else really like the new parking garage just north of the Holland? it's funny...omaha park one looks like a prison and that newest omaha park looks like an art museum or something.

But look at the time spans btwn when 1 and 8 where built. Of course it's going to look better. KC has one they are treating like a whole new building.

Yeah, that was the point I was alluding to. Cars were the death of beautiful cities. At least after WWII. Hopefully it was only a temporary death.

Did you notice they've taken out the crumbling circulator planters which were in the median of Capitol across from the Civic Auditorium... and in fact eliminated the entire median (visible in second to last Zorinsky photo).

Yes I did. This seems to be part of the Capital Ave. improvements. It appears they are taking out all the medians all the way up to 20th St, which they are turning into a park I believe. Once all this construction is finished Capital Ave will look sweet. And then after that new 40 story building on the swanson plant is completed. Wow. what a view.
