Man that is happening everwhere. Way to dry and if something doenst change we have a bunch more ahead of us. The wind has not helped either. Driving between Omaha and West Pt. There are a lot of places where you can see the recent grass fires.

People not taking care to properly discard smoking materials doesn't help either.

That is part of it for sure and not acceptable. That being said I am guessing some are otehr reasons too. There are some that look to originatel by RR tracks and I have no idea how to stop that other than rain. THere was one in Gretna a couple of weeks ago in the rail bed that was behind the Gretna Bus barns. IT almost got away in the wind and could have been much worse if not stopped when it did. You could smell and see smoke over two miles away.
