Last time they did this, it was to announce the Olympic swim trials were coming back. I mean, that's nice and all but I don't know if it warranted the mayor and governor to announce it. So, hopefully, it's a little more exciting than that. I wonder if they found a tenant for their building. Maybe Hy-Vee is taking it. I think that's the perfect spot for a grocer. Right in the middle of everything.

Something I heard last night: First Data building new office building where library is.

Didn't really believe it and possibly not related to this announcement, but that's what I heard.

I Don’t completely know Ken..

As someone mentioned, could it be the “rumored” First Data employee move to the civic site downtown? I doubt it..

We’ll see. Stay tuned...

Hopefully it's not the Gene Leahy Mall plans that the mayor touted in her State of the City address as a "signature" for the city and that designs for it would be released "later in the Spring".

That would be underwhelming to me...

Could it be the "official" announcement that the international horse event is coming back?

Obviously it's Amazon.

/s

But really, do we have a list of previous economic developments that the governor has been involved in the announcements of? I really hope it's an out of state relocation or something big like that. If it is the announcement of some event, that's just not nearly as exciting.

Ok. It's Monday morning going on 9 Omaha time. Does anyone else find it funny that this "Win" hasn't been mentioned in the media anywhere? If it was a "Big" "Win" wouldn't the Chamber have made a few phone calls?

Haven't announced it yet, but since the Chamber posted "We're cheering a repeat win! #WeDontCoast", I am guessing its an award and not a new project.

Oh well..

So much for any major economic development announcement..

Not sure they needed a major presser to tell us this. Nice win nonetheless...
