Just added 6 conference wins to that 4 game sweep for a 10 game winning streak. Capped off by a 26-0 win today against Fort Wayne.

Question: If UNO wins the Summit league, do they get into post season with a shot at the CWS?

They take the tourney winner like basketball so they would need to win that in Tulsa, Oral Robert's city. Their RPI won't be high enough for an at large if they don't win there.

Mavs have clinched the outright Summit regular season title. By league rules the Mavs will host the conference tournament next season, will be interesting to see where they host. Would be nice if they could get the Storm Chasers on the road for that weekend.

Great win for the Mavericks. They've now won the Summit League regular season title 3 times: 2013, 2014, 2019

It's also great that this clinches them the Summit League tournament in Omaha next year. I've been hoping it would be at Werner Park as well, but I'm not sure if it's feasible. Of course, there are the financials as to whether UNO would want to make that work, but I don't know if there will be room on the calendar.

My guess is that if there's no baseball that weekend, there will be soccer on the Saturday. I don't know what the changeover would be like, but the unfortunate thing is that they've said that with the soccer team next year there will either be baseball or soccer at Werner Park every Saturday starting in April. I'm not sure if it's possible to host baseball games and soccer in the same day, and with the need for soccer lines to be painted on the field, I'm not even sure the Summit League would want that either.

It will be interesting to see how it shakes out, but my guess is it's 50/50 at Seymour Smith.

Soccer with a 32 game schedule and half on the road played Mar - Oct A look at the current schedule shows they play games on Tue Wed Fri Sat and Sun. I would say that with a years notice and if Warner wanted it it can work out with soccer and Storm chaser games.

I'm crossing my fingers!

I'll just say, one day, much sooner than anyone realizes, none of this will be an issue and UNO baseball and softball will have their own homes on campus.

The results made UNO (28-19-1) the first team to win the Summit championship during a year in which ORU was in the league since 1998. The Mavs claimed the regular-season title in both 2013 and ’14 when the Golden Eagles, chasing their 19th consecutive crown this spring, were in the Southland Conference.

UNO, however, was still going through its transition to the NCAA Division I level then and was ineligible for postseason play. The Mavericks will be the No. 1 seed for next week’s league tournament in Tulsa this time. UNO also earned the right to host next year’s tourney by winning the Summit championship.

The top-seeded Mavericks (30-21-1) and third-seeded Golden Eagles (28-25) play today at 11 a.m. UNO clinches the title with a victory. If ORU wins, a second championship game would be played later in the day.

Going to be tough. But we should be proud of UNO for their great season. If they pull out a round or two, even more proud.
