Kind of excited to see what they look like with Will Boldt as the manager.

NU starts the game off with 5 straight hits, a wild pitch, a walk, an error, a walk, an error, a pulled pitcher with no outs.
Then a 2 run hit, an error, the first out, a walk, a bloop single, a walk, pop up out, swinging out.

Nebraska 11
Baylor - (Bottom 1st)

Better than nothing I guess. What do they call that? A no-hitter?

What’s the status for college baseball? Allowing fans?

That's a bit premature. It's March and the College World Series isn't until June. By then, this whole coronavirus could be contained and over by then.

Regardless if one feels its “premature”, the fact remains- the CWS has been officially cancelled for 2020...

I was doing some research and it turns out this is not the first time sports have been canceled or postponed due to illness. Maybe in Nebraska it is, but it's been done before. During the Spanish flu pandemic in 1918, Philadelphia canceled all their high school and college football games. St. Louis did the same and so did San Francisco. All this after some players and coaches got sick. The 1919 Stanley Cup Final was canceled due to the Spanish Flu as well. In a nutshell, it was not a good time for sports in 1918-19.

The point is sports were canceled due to illness before. Maybe not on a nationwide scale, but they were canceled nevertheless.

It does seem premature to cancel the even three months in advance, but when I think about it, it seems like nobody will be safe from this thing probably until at least mid-to-late-April or even into May, and by then the baseball regular season will be halfway over.

I think all the sports cancellations yesterday send a strong message that nothing is more important than preventing the spread of the virus. The cancellations will probably go a long way in preventing spread just by removing a major reason for people to get together.

It is a long ways ahead of the CWS to cancel but if the teams are not playing the season, and they are not, what other option is there.

Yes, exactly what the deal is.
