Confetti Dropping
You know how in recent years at the end of a game whenever a champion is crowned, they drop confetti from the ceiling of a stadium (if it has a ceiling)? Both college and pro do that. As ridiculous as this may seem to some people, I wonder what if they dropped balloons as well along with the confetti?

Re: Confetti Dropping
Confetti comes in a box from (Insert low wage foreign country here) and one person dumps it in to the confetti machines. At the end of the game, that person hits a button on a remote control and confetti sprays out. Said guy picks up his machines, and goes home...
Balloons done at any large scale would take a whole crew of people hours and hours to get setup. Plus the logistics of large nets up in the ceiling to hold all that. Its not worth the expense.
Couple side notes. There is a bunch of old confetti stuck in the rafters from the past concerts at the CHI Center Omaha. Every once in a whole during a Creighton game when the crowd is roaring and the music is thumping you will see a piece of it fall down. There was also a Circus or Disney show where there ended up being a whole bunch of mylar balloons stuck up in the rafters after kids didn't hold on to them.

Re: Confetti Dropping
And the balloons and confetti would have to go through a quick sanitation before they are disposed of..
