It's to bad DT Omaha looked so dead in the first video. I have been DT on week day mornings around 9-11 and have also noticed how few people are on the streets. Especially west of 16th st. It seems like if you go around the GLM you will usually see some people. And the Old Market even mid morning you will usually find someone walking on Howard st. Otherwise a good video.

I agree..

I don’t know what he was supposed to expect- arriving in downtown at 10:21am on a weekday Tuesday. Of course it’s going to look devoid of people. He did indicate at night it became much more lively, which we know it does, even on a weekday evening..but he continued to comment about how “dead the downtown” was throughout the video, it sort of became a theme. Too bad he didn’t visit on a Saturday or Sunday like he has with his other city videos..

But in any case, overall, he did a pretty good job. His Zoo video was really well done imo. He and his wife seem like very nice, down to earth people…

I thought both videos were pretty well done. Downtown is pretty dead most of the time, because it isn't currently well built. But as he pointed out, that's changing quick and he said it's going to feel completely different in 5 years.

I know he said that at the end of his video, and I agree..

However, most any central business district in Omaha’s peer metro size range (1 to 1.5 million), is likely to be “dead” at 10:21am on a Tuesday morning (which is the time he rolled into downtown)..Especially on the heels of a pandemic. What was he going to expect? Lol..

A little less “downtown is dead” commentary would have been appreciated- for perspective purposes at least..

Otherwise, I agree- overall, it was a pretty good video. His Omaha Zoo video was very well done…

That's fair. I did wish he'd throw out that it is still in the climate of a pandemic, he's in the CBD where everyone is mostly in an office.

I enjoyed him constantly mentioning that Omaha is not flat though, lol.

It’s funny so many people posted in the comment section of that video that “Omaha is NOT FLAT!”..They obviously did not watch the video and were exposed, lol…
