So long has passed since all of that info came out. I wonder if a revision to bring the 2 mid rises in the plan up a little is in the cards.

Are we talking bigger than the initial proposals from 2017 now with the streetcar?

I think it would be foolish to not rearrange those a bit.

1. Between the streetcar, park redo, Mutual announcement, Steelhouse/museum, etc., I would think condos (especially a high rise) would be hot there.

2. Office space can probably wait a bit during the slow transition back to offices.

In the article about the Civic site redevelopment, Troy Anderson said:

City officials have for years attempted to bring jobs into the urban core, "and it hasn't worked," said Troy Anderson, deputy chief of staff for economic development and development services.

As the city courted national employers for the downtown area, a common theme began to emerge.

"We were told 'You have a lot of really exciting things going on downtown, but you don't have a workforce downtown that we can employ,'" Anderson said. "'Let's get people and talent downtown, and the jobs will come' is what we've been told by employers."

This rumor of the condo high rise being moved up to the next phase would make sense then to possibly help Hines get an office tenant lined up for their future office space.

There are two condo high rises here in Salt Lake City that were built recently. One is The Regent and it is 23 stories (20 are residential), 266 ft, and has 150 units. The other is 99 West and it is 30 stories, 375 ft, and 185 units. Both have their parking underground.

The condo high here initially was planned to be:
