I kind of liked the original look... but I guess they've decided to go with an 'earth tone'.

As long as we're on the subject of Creighton, I mentioned earlier it appeared there was some streetscape work going on in the 20th and Burt area. Seems they're going to angled parking along 20th Street, benefiting the residents of their new student housing complex.

I think the new color is better. Do they still have those ugly purple panels on the hall next door?

And what is the latest with the new Central Stadium across the street?

Finn, they actually have recently re-attached (to better secure them) the purple panels so, they're here to stay. The central stadium looks great! I walked in when I was there last weekend and it's near completion.

From the CU website:

The project started on Monday May 16, 2005 at 9:00am to re-anchor all exterior purple panels. The contractor will begin work each day at 7:00am doing quiet work, perhaps epoxing the bolts in the holes drilled the day before. At 9:00am, they will start drilling holes in the purple panels. The total project is scheduled to be completed mid-August, including painting the exterior. Residents have been notified of the schedule and to have curtains closed during working hours as lifts will be passing windows.

I have seen that out of the window from work and wondered what they were doing with that building.

"...including painting the exterior" - hopefully that means painting over those purple panels!

It does indeed include painting over the purple panels. I was down there yesterday and the panels on the south side are a dark orange
