Most unappreciated block in Omaha?

Pacific from 30th to 33rd. About as many Queen Anne Victorians as I've seen in such a small stretch of Omaha. Yet none are getting the care they deserve.

I agree. There are so many beautiful houses in Omaha, especially in the poorer areas of town like North O that are not getting the care they deserve.

A couple of blocks west... so just beyond view Ryan. They run east/west along Pacific. By the way, I probably should have mentioned... those are thumbnails above... in case you didn't figure it out... you can click on them and get full size pictures.

Park Avenue is one of my favorite Omaha Neighborhoods. I've loved it for years. It's part of a really great neighborhood cluster, where one great neighborhood leads into another. There's Park Avenue, Ford Birthsite, Field Club, Leavenworth Park, etc. all sort of butting up against eachother.

This a a really great, often overlooked area othat really shows off Omaha's early architecture and history of 'urban density' from years past..

The area is experiencing a renaissance of sorts as people who appreciate it's unique and well maintained dwelling structures have been moving in..It's become a pretty hip area in which to live these days..

So you're suggesting I was risking my well being walking down this street on this otherwise beautiful Sunday afternoon? (I saw a clean cut looking white couple planting a shrub in front of one of the houses not pictured here, apparently not all rentals... I guess that was my cue.

)

You'll be appalled to learn that my 9 year old son and I tried our luck fishing at Hanscom Park shortly after. You know... where a teenage girl was 'attacked' just weeks before.

While it seemed we were the only ones speaking English at the time, and we failed to catch anything, I guess we made it out without incident.

Hanscom is an absolutely gorgeous park... one of Omaha's gems.
