In case you hadn't noticed... there is now an unobstructed walkway from Lewis and Clark Landing to Miller's Landing. Walking along this path, you'll get a good look at the newly opened Carl T. Curtis National Park Service headquarter building and the Gallup University main building. There are also several interactive Lewis and Clark exhibits along the route. Oh... and the water is also flowing at the Labor monument.

I actually walked that stretch the last time I was in town a couple of weeks ago. What a change from driving by the Aaron Ferer scrap metal shop with cars overhanging the fences. This riverfront is really a beautiful sight and I can't wait to see the pedestrian bridge and condos come to fruition. I think the city has done a great job of mixing public and private use without making the riverfront development too dense. The Council Bluffs natural, parkland development initiatives will be a nice compliment.

Thanks Jon. I have been poking around the site for months and am just getting around to replying on the forum. I am an Omahan living abroad in DC but still miss home after six years. I recently did some work in CB and Des Moines and will have to update DMRyan on some downtown DM projects. Thanks for keeping us wandering souls abreast of the homefront happenings, this is a great site.
