Omaha City Block Sizes?

I am trying to figure out what a regular city block size for Omaha is, say in downtown. Anyone know?

I've looked at some plans and it seems that a block is 264 feet long, with lot depths of 132 feet. But then some blocks have a 20 foot alley, which would make it 284 feet long. And I know that 12 blocks equals one mile, and streets are 100 feet. That would make each block 340 feet.

Any ideas???

Section = 22
Township = 15
Range = 13

That should get you a pdf of DTO, where every block is measured.

Looks like I was right - it's both 264 and 284.

Draw a box and break the box in to 36 smaller boxes 6X6

In the upper right box wright 1 in the upper left wright 6
so reading left to right you have 6 thru 1
next row down 7 thru 12
then 18-13
then 19-24
then 30-25
then 31-36

So yesterday I had you look in the North West corner of section 22
So if you need more info to the south try the South West Corner of section 22 or vern farther south then you would be in Section 27...and so on

I forgot to say when you go to the website, select quater section.

Thanks for the geography refresher! I will go looking for more sections.

I was trying to figure out how many light rail cars could fit on downtown Omaha streets. Light rail vehicles vary from 73-94 feet, so you could get up to 3 cars if you went with a smaller vehicle.
