My light rail station & Denver Union Station proposalscz

A couple months ago I bought a townhouse in Denver near the new Southeast Corridor light rail line. The new line will open November 17:

Last Monday I took a walk over to my new station - only 15 minutes from my door to the train platform.

First, the two master developer proposals for Union Station released last night:




Now for Yale Station - it is on the west side of I-25


It's a park-n-ride with 129 spots, relatively small compared to the other stations




Let's head on up!

Thanks, Lou! I'm pumped because I won't have to ride the bus to the nearest station anymore, I will get to ride the train longer, and my commute time will go down!

You got that straight! My company gives me a free transit pass, so taking transit (no direct cost to me) sure beats driving at any cost. And I like to read on the train, which I probably couldn't do as well when driving...

Is that the station on the west (or is it nw-ish) end of LoDo? That will look awesome in proximity to that bridge and park just to the south of there, as well. What a great, cohesive plan.

Kiewit is also on one of the Union Station proposals (the second from the top with the shorter buildings).

You bet, Big E, that is the station at the end of LoDo. Glad you were able to check out the hood while you were visiting!

Nice. Everytime I see pictures of Denver, it makes me want to move there more and more. So gorgious and so progressive.

It makes me really wish there was an LRT between Omaha and Lincoln.
