If you've never been there before, go check it out. It's near Honey Creek, Iowa about 20 minutes north of Council Bluffs. link

The loess hills are beautiful. I imagine they will be even more so in a month with the colors.

There are LOTS of wildflowers along the trails

Today was monarch day. There were lots of kids with butterfly nets.

Where is the hawk watch building? It doesn't look familiar.

The observation tower is attached to it. It's as far as you can drive if you take a left at the "Y" after coming in.

Pretty. You must have been very still with that bug picture. I think Iowa north of CB has some of the best, rare views of Omaha.

There's some great fall-color viewing if you follow the road east out of Pisgah, IA. Great area, nice pics!

Tuna - are you talking about color right now - early september - or when there is color.
Speaking of which - with all this rain in the past weeks should make for a very colorful fall. There should be many good photo ops!

Just speaking of when there is color. I haven't been out there lately - the motorcycle's out of commision for repairs.
