Yahoo! Got 6 seats together in the front row of the mezzanine in 221. Ticketmaster online makes me nuts, but out here in GI we don't have a ticket outlet... YET. Ticketmaster's website says it's coming soon to the GI Younkers, for the first location outside of the metros.

I got a few spares for friends and am wondering... just how far back is row 46 on the main floor? Half way? beyond? If they're that far back is a person better off sitting in the lower bowl, about halfway back?

It sounds like you'd be about halfway up. I saw Clapton last time and we were in about that same section further back and it still wasn't a bad view.

OK. More questions. In the past, we've had great luck parking in the lots at 11th and Capitol, even just an hour before the show. Is this still the best bet? There are going to be 12 of us in a convoy. Anyplace in that neighborhood we might have any chance of getting that many seats to have a decent sit down meal around 5-5:30-ish, or should we plan on other parts of town?

Yeah there's a little place a few blocks from the there to eat called THE OLD MARKET! :) If the concert starts at 7 I'd try to get there a little before 5:30.

No kidding?!?!?!!

My question was would we have a chance of getting that many seats before a major concert? I assume that there might be a couple of other folks with the same idea. Anybody actually try getting a table in the Old Market before a sold out show before?

Also, the showtime is 7:30, so I assumed if we got the cars parked, 5 to 5:30 oughta give us a leisurely meal time.[/img]

I get ya. You could try an off Market place like Jazz and it might not be as busy. I've been in the OM during big events and the waits don't seem to be too bad but I've never really waited around and then went to the Q.

I'm aware of that. My posts were a series of questions asking for some advice, not announcing the concert.
