They skip 13, so it is only 39 floors.

More than 400 people climb 871 stairs
Omaha World Herald wrote:The 450-plus participants Saturday in the inaugural stair climb to the top of the First National Tower felt flames in their legs and lungs. "I work out four or five times a week on the stair-climber in the gym, but this wasn't anything like it," said Mindy Caddy as she breathed deeply, drank water and recuperated from the 40-floor, 871-step crucible.

The Trek to the Top was Omaha's version of an increasingly popular aerobic competition called a vertical race. Similar events have been held in New York at the Empire State Building, in Chicago at the Sears Tower and in Des Moines at 801 Grand.

Tower to challenge runners
Omaha World Herald wrote:More than 700 participants are expected to climb the First National Tower stairs Feb. 23 in the Trek Up the Tower. It's the second year of the so-called vertical race. Trek to the Top was the event's name last year. Becky Dorn of the Wellness Council of the Midlands, the event's organizer, said an organization outside Nebraska said it had legal claim to that name.

I'd go if I could get pics from the top but I know that's not how it works, so until then, 45th floor Jeebz.
