All About Omaha, a young professionals organization here in town that I'm involved with, is hosting its annual Torchlight Ball fundraiser Saturday, April 14th @ Joslyn Musuem.
Its a spectacular event, and a great fundraiser for a local charity each year. This year's recipient is Ted E. Bear Hollow, an organization that helps children deal with the loss of a loved one.
We've got a silent auction, some great entertainment, good food and drink. Its also a great place to network, as they're be about 300 young professionals from the community there.

AAO's Torchlight Ball
shameless plug for this year's edition of Torchlight Ball. April 4 @ 630 PM, hosted @ Creighton's gorgeous new Harper Center Ballroom. This year's beneficiary is CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Douglas County. CASA does some phenomenal work with kids in the foster care system, ensuring that nobody gets "lost in the cracks" and that the child is well taken care of, and their interests are represented throughout the process.
Besides all of that touchy feely stuff, Torchlight is an amazingly fun event, and one of the few charity fundraisers aimed at the Young Professionals crowd (read 20's and 30's). Besides a great place to network with others, we'll be having a great meal, some great entertainment, and an amazing array of items up for silent auction.
Tickets are very reasonably priced, at $50 for AAO Members, $60 for non-members.
If anyone has any questions about the event, feel free to PM me.
If you're interested in learning more, or buying tickets (or making a donation), go to http://www.allaboutomaha.org/torchlight.html
Hope to see you all there!
