You can't walk to the old market after an event at the MAC. I'm glad it will be at the civic.

Now it's official!!! September 17th at the Civic!

UFC: 'Fight Night' coming to Omaha

"An 8 p.m. local start is scheduled for the five-bout card, which will be aired live from the Civic Auditorium on Spike TV (Cox Channel 29)."

they usually cut right to the chase. It'll be a nighttime fight im sure and maybe a few shots of downtown or outside the arena....my guess.

I missed Houston's fight but watched the rest of it at Farrell's. It didn't even look like the Civic on tv. The place actually looked cool. A pay-per-view at the Qwest would look awesome. Also some of the fighters came in to Farrell's afterwords It was cool to see some of them up close. They don't look particularly threatening in street clothes so be careful who you start a fight with in a bar.

Houston is on Todd N Tyler right now. He said he didn't realize how close he was to the end of the round. He is the crowd was so intense that he could not hear some noise that counts down the last 10 seconds of each round otherwise he would have just held out for the end of the round.

I was wayyy wrong. Spike TV showed several skyline shots from various angles as well as exterior shots of the Civic. Looked pretty cool actually.

I saw that too. I tried to watch Houston's fight, but couldn't really get in to it, after that I fast forwarded through the rest checking out the skylines. Two times they showed the Abbot Drive Shot. They showed the 10th street bridge show once and the showed the front of the civic once. They were all well done, pre recorded shots. They also kept saying "Omaha", so it was a great pub night.

I didn't. He did give Alexander props and said "Houston is one of the nicest guys he ever met". I still think Schafer's a bit of a girly, though. Not to mention, one of the least entertaining fighters in the UFC. A win is a win I guess, submissions are part of the fight. .
