Hes pushing his luck trying to tell us what Scott Frost should be doing and when he starts telling us to go get our prostates checked its time some one throws a flag on that joker. In short Sean's Husker Expert act has gotten very tired and old and is starting to grind.
Okay that's nice.

It is not nice when we go to an AM sports station for a little R&R time and the fool who has been telling us how to run the Huskers for years is now telling us how to run our personal health care. I don't like it when Johnny Rogers is telling me where to go to have a hip replacement either but he has a legit connection to the program so he he gets a free pass. Sean never earned a free pass.

If you know football/study your team roster/know the depth chart, listen to the coaches (and select AD) press conferences, plus get regular updates on injuries, follow the recruiting trail, you don’t need an “expert” to tell you about Husker (or any other team) college football...

I'm hoping it'll be better than that. I'm hoping for a beat-down, score at least 42 points in the first half, rest the starters and the backups will still continue to put up points. I'm looking for a feel good score of 66-20.

Of course, that doesn't mean it'll happen. There's not a good way to try and make a prediction on this one... Interesting bit - as far as I know, the last time the Husker's played an FCS team was McNeese State... I think we all remember how uncomfortably close that was.

Nebraska's defense could not stop a good high school team so don't expect them to be able to hold this team to only 20 points. Expect Bethune Cookman will to run up more like 30 to 35 points. The good news is Nebraska's offense will roll up 40 to 45 points.

Hopefully BC's offensive players are just plain too small, because you have a point. Most of Nebraska's defenders are nothing more than a body on the field. I'm thinking a size advantage will make some difference.

Based on the 38-3 halftime NU lead, you're well on your way to the Husker 66 point prediction!

Final score:

Nebraska-45
Bethune-Cookman-9

BC got a last-second touchdown, wanted to kick the extra point, but time expired.

I was there and it played out about how I expected. THe one take away I have with the bench playing most of the second half is that if anyone ever thought we didn't have depth this sure proved it. I do believe it will get better though.

You know who Nebraska hasn't played yet in the history of their program? Boston College. Their basketball teams have played each other before, but their football teams haven't. I hope Nebraska schedules them as a non-conference opponent in the future.

Well, the first stringers held up they part of the deal. I'm a bit impressed they held the other team to basically 3 points, though BC was using their backup quarterback.

I'd say these two wins have to give the guys a lot of motivation to finish the season strong now that they've finally got the taste of blood on their lips. This may or may not help with Ohio State... We'll see.

I was surprised Vedral didn't play better, but he didn't play well in the Spring game. Granted he hasn't been given many snaps, but he played in Frost's system last year. Also surprised Bunch didn't get any snaps.

But you have to love B-C's 5'4" 210lb kicker, Uriel Hernandez.

Bethune-Cookman HC Terry Sims wrote:"Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect, we actually stayed in Omaha and everyone involved with our program echoed the same thing: it’s probably the nicest group of people you’ll ever be around. Everyone was very welcoming, they didn’t ask us to do anything outside of the norm. It made it very comfortable for us, which we’re thankful for, and like I said, I didn’t know what to expect, but I know now and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back, not only to play a game but come back and visit. It’s a great place.”
I also like the story about B-C sideline ordering Runzas in the first half.

I’m hoping NU just competes in this Ohio St game. I’d be nice, for once, if the Huskers could go to the Horseshoe and not get completely blown out...

Vedral was also playing with mostly second and third string players in the time he was in there.

As has been mentioned a number of times all over it would be a good step forward to just require OSU to punt. Something they have not done in at least the last two games.

Well, there's not much to talk about this week. I can't wait for the day games like the one coming up are marquee match-ups. I still would like to see some predictions from ya'll.

I think the final score will be OSU 49+ to Huskers 24 or 27 or something like that, which would be an acceptable improvement over recent games. I think the Husker's secondary will be subject number one in this loss, but the offense will give us something to be sorta proud of.

Of course I'll be happy if I'm wrong.

Final:

Nebraska-31
Ohio State-36

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I thought Ohio State was just going to steamroll Nebraska like Michigan did, but they didn't.

I'm actually pretty impressed with the way they played. That little bit of hope sprinkled throughout the game makes it sting a little more than if it went how I thought it would. I expect for games like this to matter way, way more in the future.

I pretty much agree with you. The Husker offensive played about as well as I expected.. The NU defense actually played better than expected and forced several Ohio St punts for the 1st time in 3 games.. But in the end, this was a completely winnable game for the Huskers.. What sunk them was LOUSY special teams play and an inept offensive performance in the 3rd quarter..

The Huskers are on their way.. And it would not surprise me if they win out and finish 5-7.. At least I hope that’s the case. Anyway, Scott Frost has his team believing they can complete with anyone. And that’s the most encouraging thing to me moving forward...

Urban Meyer on Nebraska: 'That's a two-win team that people don't want to play right now'

"I get that that was a two-win team, but that's a two-win team that people don't want to play right now," Meyer said. "On videotape, I wasn't expecting to see what I saw."

“Very good players, very good scheme and guys are going to get very good," he said.

The real news is Ohio State is not the team people thought they was. The Ohio state quarterback has a weak passing game and the Ohio State defense is weak against the run. Ohio State does not deserve to be ranked 10th in the country and will be lucky to end the season in the top 20. Ohio State got past Nebraska but they will not be so lucky against Michigan and Michigan State. The Nebraska offense is just not ready yet to go out and score the 40 points most teams are going to be able to run up against our weak defense. The Nebraska kicking game has been nothing short of a joke all year. It is a given that any on side kick attempt is a long shot but good grief when the kicker is an uncoordinated boob  We would expect that kind of a lame on side kick out of our sister not a guy who is trying to pass himself off as an athlete.

NU’s next two games are at home against Illinois this Saturday and Michigan St the following. I’d think the Huskers should beat Illinois.. If they could pull off what some would call a “minor upset” of Michigan St.. This would set up a rather interesting end of season clash at Iowa on Black Friday..

One month ago, I would have said “Iowa will crush Nebraska”.. But if my wishful thinking prevails and the Huskers go into Iowa City riding a 2 game winning streak, I’d say they’ve got a decent shot of winning that game..

The remainder of November should be very interesting for this football team. I sense they’re starting to believe they can compete and win games that most of us would predict they’d lose...

Nebraska is favored by 18 this week. The experts got the part about Nebraska being a sure win against Illinois right but it is highly unlikely that they win by more then 18 points. The only way that can happen is if both the Offense and the Defense really click which ain't happening

Ameer Abdullah waived by Detroit.

'During the offseason, the Lions signed running back LeGarrette Blount in free agency and added Kerryon Johnson, Auburn's 2017 SEC rushing leader, in the draft.

Abdullah had been inactive for five of Detroit's eight games in 2018. He had one carry for 1 yard, two receptions for 18 yards and four kickoff returns for a 26.8-yard average this season.'

It went better than I expected, actually. I guess it's been kinda quiet around here cause they're 3-7 and it was Illinois. The game really doesn't say much if won closely, but since it was a nice win, I feel much more confident about the remainder of the season. This game and the Minnesota game are just how I expect the team to play against the bottom feeders going forward. A good sign indeed.

O is solid.

D has it moments but has a ways to go.

Special teams are a |expletive| shoot. This week they were better but one game is not the measuring stick.

The only game I have been at that was colder than this one was the first time we played at Iowa on Black Friday. That was miserable. This was just cold.

Wasn't there but you are not the only one to say that was terrible. The other one that Was not at home but you hear about is the Big 12 Champ game at Arrowhead. I have had people tell me that that was worse than 93.

This game went pretty much as I expected. The Huskers have a defense that has immense trouble stopping the run and Illinois can run the football. The Illini also really shot themselves in the foot with 5 turnovers including a blocked punt.. Give the Huskers credit for causing 3 of those..

The Husker offense keeps getting better every week. Nice overall win for the Huskers..

I do think have have a good shot at beating Sparty at home this Saturday...
