I never fault a kid for going elsewhere and getting a free education. That being said, Frost has obviously put a great deal of emphasis in building the walk on program back up. A co workers kid has been recruited to it and I can say that they are putting a lot of time and resources into recruiting walk ons. It will take a few recruiting cycles for it to fully bear fruitbigredmed1 wrote: Tue Oct 08, 2019 8:28 amThe cost of the lack of a walk-on program. The scholarships go to the stars and the recruiting budget goes for them and the non-scholarship impact players. The big kids in the center of the line are the walk ons. They can go to NDSU or SDSU and get a good education, and play on a scholarship. Now NU has to scrounge.MadMartin8 wrote: Tue Oct 08, 2019 5:06 am Frankly Nebraska seemed to have a new inspired life after Vedral(?) came in, be curious to see how he does in the apparently nasty weather that will take place in the Twin Cities Saturday. Minnesota isn't good, and neither is Nebraska, so another weirdly close game maybe?
Aside that, good god that center for Nebraska is horrible. My goodness Nebraska would probably be better off pulling a big kid from the crowd.
