Why on earth would you say that? That ship done sailed years ago. I suspect 90% of food and beverage purchases in the US are cashless as it is. It’s simply easier for both the business as well as the customer. And how many of us have suffered through a transaction where the clerk was simply dumbfounded as to how much change to give back to the customer who paid in old fashioned cash? I suspect 99% of the readers here have experienced that repeatedly.mrsticka wrote: Sun Jun 18, 2023 11:09 pm Forgive me for saying so, but:
Cashless society = Big Brother, Orwellian
That makes me VERY nervous. Almost to the point of feeling sick to my stomach. That's all I'm going to say about it.
From my travel experience I have noted that shops in airports have gone cashless in recent years. Yes it seems a bit odd to buy a newspaper or bottle of water with a card, but It just makes everything more painless.
And, for those somehow caught by surprise by the policy, you can purchase a debit card at the stadium with your cash.
