#14 Volleyball Hits .442 In Sweep Over High Point


MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- Middle blockers Kiana Schmitt and Ann Marie Remmes combined for 21 kills on 27 errorless swings as No. 14 Creighton swept High Point in a battle of conference champions at the Diet Coke Classic in Minneapolis, Minn. Scores of the Bluejay victory were 25-21, 25-12, 25-10. Creighton is now 8-2 on the season while High Point dropped to 6-4. The Bluejays will face No. 9 Minnesota on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. in search of a fourth tournament title as many weeks. The Gophers defeated High Point in four sets on Thursday evening.

Creighton closes non-conference play on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. with a match at No. 9 Minnesota to conclude the Diet Coke Classic. That match will air on BTN+.

#14 Volleyball Ends Non-Conference Play With Win at #9 Minnesota


MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- Ava Martin tied her career-high with 22 kills and was named MVP of the Diet Coke Classic as the No. 14 Creighton Volleyball team closed non-conference play with a 3-2 win over No. 9 Minnesota. Scores of the Bluejay victory were 25-15, 16-25, 25-20, 22-25, 15-9 as the Bluejays won their fourth tournament in as many weekends to open the 2023 season.

#11 Volleyball Continues Rise in AVCA Poll


OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton Volleyball team used a win at No. 9 Minnesota on Saturday to rise three spots to a season-best 11th in this week's AVCA/TARAFLEX Top 25 poll, released Monday.

Creighton opens its 11th season in the BIG EAST on Friday when it visits Butler at 5 p.m. Central, then heads to meet Xavier on Saturday at 4 p.m. Central.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The No. 11 Creighton Volleyball team opened its 11th year in the BIG EAST with a 3-0 victory on Friday night inside historic Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind. Scores in favor of the nine-time defending BIG EAST champion were 25-22, 25-17, 25-20.

Xavier Upsets #11 Volleyball


CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The No. 11 Creighton Volleyball team suffered its first BIG EAST loss of the season with a 3-2 setback at Xavier on Saturday, Sept. 23rd. The result snapped CU's five-match win streak this season and was Xavier's first triumph in 24 meetings all-time against the Bluejays. Scores of the match in favor of Xavier were 21-25, 25-21, 17-25, 25-20, 15-10.

#16 Volleyball Storms Past St. John’s With Sweep


Playing its first home match in nearly four weeks, the No. 16 Creighton Volleyball team stormed past St. John's with a 25-14, 25-23, 25-18 sweep on Friday night inside D.J. Sokol Arena. Creighton improved to 11-3 overall and 2-1 in BIG EAST play with the win, while the Red Strom fell to 11-5 on the year and 3-1 in league play.

Volleyball Climbs to 15th in AVCA Poll;
17th in First RPI Release


OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton Volleyball team moved up one spot to 15th in the AVCA/TARAFLEX Top 25 poll released on Monday. The Bluejays are also 17th in the NCAA's first official RPI release of the season. Creighton (12-3, 3-1 BIG EAST) swept both St. John's and Seton Hall last week and ha now won seven of its past eight matches, all without 2022 BIG EAST Player of the Year Norah Sis.

#15 Volleyball Falls at Marquette


MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- The No. 15 Creighton Volleyball team was swept on Friday night by BIG EAST Conference preseason favorite Marquette on Friday night at the Al McGuire Center in Milwaukee. Scores of the MU victory were 25-21, 25-23, 25-19.

Creighton returns to the court on Saturday night with a 6 p.m. match at DePaul (10-6, 3-2 BIG EAST) that will air on FloSports.

#15 Volleyball Bounces Back With 3-0 Win at DePaul


CHICAGO, Ill. -- Freshman Destiny Ndam-Simpson had a season-high 16 kills to lead the No. 15 Creighton Volleyball team to a 3-0 victory at DePaul on Saturday night. Scores of the Bluejay win were 25-22, 28-26, 25-20.

Creighton returns to the court next Friday when it hosts Georgetown at 6 p.m. as part of the program's annual Pink Out.

Volleyball Ranked 17th in AVCA Poll; 18th in RPI


The Creighton Volleyball team fell two spots to 17th in the AVCA/TARAFLEX Top 25 poll released on Monday. The Bluejays are also 18th in the NCAA's second official RPI release of the season, one spot worse than last week. Creighton (13-4, 4-2 BIG EAST) went 1-1 last week on the road, losing at Marquette before bouncing back one night later to sweep DePaul.

Sis Returns in #17 Volleyabll's Sweep vs. Georgetown


OMAHA, Neb. -- No. 17 Creighton Volleyball hit an absurd .488 -- third-best in program history, and saw two-time All-American Norah Sis return to play in the back row in a 3-0 sweep over Georgetown on Friday, Oct. 13. The match was Creighton's 15th straight Pink Out victory, and improved the Bluejays to 19-0 all-time against the Hoyas
Scores of Creighton's (14-4, 5-2 BIG EAST) sweep were 25-10, 25-13, 25-18.

The Bluejays host Villanova (12-7, 3-4 BIG EAST) on Sunday at 1 p.m.

#17 Volleyball Stays Perfect at Home; Sweeps Villanova


OMAHA, Neb. -- Ellie Bichelmeyer and Kiara Reinhardt had season-highs in kills to pace the No. 17 Creighton Volleyball team to a 3-0 win over visiting Villanova on Sunday. Creighton (15-4, 6-2 BIG EAST) moved into a tie for third place with the 25-21, 25-18, 25-14 victory, while Villanova fell to 12-8 (3-5 BIG EAST) on the season. The Bluejays are now 7-0 at home this season and have won 40 straight home matches in the month of October.

Creighton will play its next four matches on the road, starting with Friday's 5 p.m. Central match at Connecticut.

STORRS, Conn. -- The No. 15 Creighton Volleyball team posted its fourth consecutive sweep with a straight sets victory at Connecticut on Friday, Oct. 20th. Scores of the Bluejay victory were 25-12, 25-21, 25-13. Creighton improved to 16-4 on the season and reached the midway point of league play with a 7-2 record despite missing several key pieces of their regular rotation once again.

#15 Volleyball Earns Fifth Straight Sweep at Providence


PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- No. 15 Creighton Volleyball continued its late-season push with a fifth consecutive 3-0 victory, this time at Providence on Saturday, Oct. 21. Creighton hit .430 in the contest, hitting over .340 for the fourth straight match. Scores of the match were 25-7, 25-21, 25-19 in favor of Creighton (17-4, 8-2 BIG EAST). Providence, which has won just won set in 16 all-time meetings with Creighton, fell to 8-14 and is 2-8 in league play.

VILLANOVA, Pa. -- Six days after Villanova stunned BIG EAST co-leader St. John's, No. 17 Creighton Volleyball team never trailed against the Wildcats in a dominant 3-0 sweep inside Jake Nevin Field House. The Bluejays hit .493 in the match, its second-best figure in program history. Scores of the Bluejay victory were 25-15, 25-8, 25-15.

Creighton returns to the court at 5 p.m. Central on Saturday to visit Georgetown in a contest that will be video webcast on HoyaVision.

#17 Volleyball Sweeps #25 Marquette, Moves Into First Place Tie


Senior Ellie Bichelmeyer had a season-high 14 kills and No. 17 Creighton picked up its ninth consecutive 3-0 victory with a 25-18, 25-9, 26-24 triumph over No. 25 Marquette on Sunday, Nov. 5. The victory moves the Bluejays into a three-way tie for first place in the BIG EAST standings as Marquette and St. John's are also 12-2 in league play. Creighton (21-4, 12-2 BIG EAST) hit .387 in the match, doubled up the Golden Eagles in kills (54-27), and owned a 54-38 advantage in digs.

SOUTH ORANGE, N. J. -- The No. 15 Creighton Volleyball team swept its 10th straight match on Friday with a 3-0 victory over host Seton Hall. The Bluejays won 25-17, 25-18, 25-20 and have now also won 50 straight sets against the Pirates.

The No. 15 Creighton Volleyball team sent off seniors Kiana Schmitt and Ellie Bichelmeyer in style, picking up a 3-0 sweep over Butler to clinch a share of its 10th consecutive BIG EAST regular-season title. Scores Creighton's 13th straight win were 25-17, 25-14, 25-14 as the Bluejays improved to 25-4 and tied Marquette atop the league standings with a 16-2 conference mark. Creighton will be the No. 1 seed at next week's BIG EAST Tournament, hosted by Marquette, and begin play on Friday at 3 p.m. against the winner of Wednesday's DePaul/Xavier quarterfinal.

CU earned that spot after a 25-17, 25-20, 25-17 victory and will meet third -seeded St. John's on Saturday at 1 p.m. for the BIG EAST Tournament title in a match that will be televised on FS2. The Red Storm defeated host Marquette (11-25, 25-14, 20-25, 25-22, 15-14) in the first semifinal of the afternoon.

Volleyball Claims BIG EAST Tournament Crown with Sweep of St. John's


MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Creighton Volleyball claimed its ninth BIG EAST Tournament title in the last 11 years with a dominant 3-0 sweep of St. John's on Saturday, November 25. Set scores for the match were 25-13, 25-9, 25-23 In their 10 appearance in the BIG EAST Tournament title match, the Bluejays moved to 9-1 including nine straight wins. Creighton swept the season series with the Red Storm, taking the match at home 3-0 (Sept. 29), 3-1 on the road (Nov. 11) and 3-0 this afternoon. With the win the Bluejays pushed their record to 27-4 on the season, while St. John's fell to 23-10.

The No. 17 Creighton Volleyball team continued its late-season surge with a 3-0 victory over Colgate in the First Round of the 2023 NCAA Volleyball Tournament. Scores of CU's 16th straight win were 25-19, 25-23 25-20. Creighton improved to 28-4 on the year and 12-0 inside D.J. Sokol Arena, where it will host Minnesota (17-12) on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. with a Sweet 16 berth on the line. Colgate ends its season with a 22-8 mark.

How Sweet It Is! #17 Volleyball Advances To Sweet 16 With Sweep of Minnesota


The No. 17 Creighton Volleyball team extended its winning streak to 17 straight matches and advanced to Sweet 16 for the third time in program history and first since 2016 with sweep of Minnesota in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday night. Scores of the match in favor off Creighton were 25-21, 25-20, 29-27 in front of a sold out crowd of 2,568, the third largest crowd in D.J. Sokol Arena history. With the win, Creighton improved to 29-4 on the season, advancing to the regional round of the tournament and will play #2 seeded Louisville. Minnesota, however, finishes its season with a 17-13 overall record.

PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- The No. 17 Creighton Volleyball team saw its 2023 season come to an end in the Regional Semifinals on Thursday morning in Pittsburgh, falling in five sets against No. 7 Louisville.
