All I am saying is it was the Big XII's WORST year the MO Valley's BEST year and they were STILL behind them.Coyote wrote:2006 Conference RPI:joeglow wrote: I honestly don't see how you can even compare the two conferences.

whatsallthefuss wrote:Actually both of these guys are wrong, the Big 12 sent 4 teams (Texas, Kansas, OU, A&M).
However, it is correct for joemoney to say that the Big 12 had an off year, while the MVC had an unusually good year in landing teams in the tournament. The 'Dan Hawkins analogy' is correct in this instance.
I think this is kind of funny to say when I recall the last NU/CU game I was at in the Qwest Center, the fans wearing red outnumbered those wearing blue. With enrollment what it is at CU, and their phenomenal season ticket sales figure, I have to wonder how many fair weather NU fans in Omaha, cheer on Creighton until the Huskers come to town?Do you know that Nebraska gave over 4,000 tickets away to NU booster clubs to PREVENT creighton fans from buying all the tickets.
Learned his lesson at KSU, he turned that program around big time. Before altman they were awful, with him they were in post season, funny how the team never came back after he left (until now with the new coach and all). Then how do you explain why he has been given offeres to jobs like ILLINOIS (FACT that he was offered the job, his name was not just speculated, he turned it down because they wouldn't let him bring his assistants with him), MIAMI, TENNESSEE and many others. Don't pull that |expletive| on me, thats a lame excuse.Dfresh wrote:Give me a break....Creighton is supposed to be valley's best team and they were slapped by a team that was picked to finish last in the big 12...No way a team from the valley could play day in day out in the big 12 and even finish in the top half of the conference.
Yes valley had a nice run last year but that is over.....Dana belongs in the Mo Valley he learned his lesson when he was at KSU!

Hmm the atmosphere doesnt seam as fun down there is Lincoln as it does at the Q. I love going to CU games at the Q because it's such a good time.

OK, that;s just stupid! Dana could coach anywhere and continually gets new offers. Let's just hope he remains at Creighton.
Don't worry about being attacked, you seem to be the only one that attacks. So unless you are into self mutilation, you should be ok.So don't get all attacking me CU fans, most of you are pathetic at games.
right i am attacking them, because 90% of them suck and someone needs to tell them that. And its comming from one of their own, so thats why they need to not make excuses and just freakin cheer at games.CapitalGuy wrote:Don't worry about being attacked, you seem to be the only one that attacks. Perrault must be reading the eomahaforums. Seriously, this is not unusual for Creighton games, rather the crowd being involved is what is unusual. I think the problem for Creighton is the same fans that sit on their hands and get annoyed when people cheer at Husker football games are the same people who are at the Creighton games (yes, Creighton boosters, most of your fans are husker football fans, that is what makes your ardent support of Creighton all the more funny.)
Anyways, good win against a quality opponent by Creighton. Hopefully, they can build some momentum and go on a winning streak so they can help the Huskers' RPI
Big Boys in the Big 12... Thats a laugh. As far as basketball goes, Nebraska looks like a band of crying girls when compared to other big 12 teams. Just because Kansas and Oklahoma are good does NOT mean that you are. Also, the Big 12 may be good but the Valley is better. The Big 12 has a few good teams, and thats it, and even the "powehouse" kansas that makes your conference worthwhile, has now lost to Oral Roberts and DePaul.Dfresh wrote:The only thing good about watching a game at the Qwest center is the Bud Bar. As far as bball is concerned they really should name it the Quiet center! Dana and the Jays need to stick to the Mo. valley Conference...CU can't handle the big boys in the big 12.
I hate to attack people directly but I honestly {Admin Edit}... The Huskers were practically falling over themselves to get Dana to come to UNL, and I do not blame them. Why didn't he go? Because the Valley is a better conference with BETTER teams.Dfresh wrote:Yes Dana was offered jobs at power conferences and each one was turned down....The reason is he's scared...He enjoys beating up on the little mo valley teams...end of story
I think you have a good point.MTO wrote:Now that this game is over lets lock this one up right?
